RDDS is the proud holder of an array of Aerospace and Defence Approvals and qualifications, regularly audited externally and by own Quality Management Team. Our list of approvals continues to grow with each passing year.

RDDS Avionics Limited holds the following quality and regulatory approvals:

AS9100 Rev. D
  • Design, Manufacture, Service and Repair of Avionic and Electronic Equipment for the Aerospace, Land Vehicle and Marine IndustriesDesign, Manufacture, Service and Repair of Avionic and Electronic Equipment for the Aerospace, Land Vehicle and Marine Industries.
  • RDDS operates to a Quality Management System which has been approved by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance to the International Aerospace Quality Management Systems Standard AS 9100 Rev. D. RDDS is included on the International Quality Assurance Group’s Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) under identification number (OIN) 6115008085.
Part 21.G - Production Organisation
  • We are an approved Production Organisation (UK.21G.2625) under the surveillance of the UK Civil Aviation Authority, and manufacture avionic equipment for release to service with EASA Form 1, facilitated by DO/PO arrangements with some of the world’s leading aerospace OEMs and Part 21J Design Organisations.
Part 145 - Maintenance Organisation
  • We are an approved Maintenance Organisation (UK.145.01072) under the surveillance of the UK Civil Aviation Authority providing repairs, maintenance and upgrades to avionic products.
Part 21.O - AP to DOA (ETSO)
  • RDDS is approved for Alternative Procedures to Design Organisation Approval, under the surveillance of the UK Civil Aviation Authority, in relation to the design of products and approval to CS ETSO requirements.
UK MAA DAOS
  • We are approved as a design organisation under the UK Ministry of Defence’s Design Approved Organisation Scheme in accordance with Def. Stan 05-123 and the Military Aviation Authority’s 5000 series of regulations.
  • The scope of our MAA DAOS approval includes Displays, Control Panels, Video Conversion Units and Video Routing Units.

FAA Repair Station
  • RDDS is an approved Repair Station (8RDY677C) in accordance with the US Federal Aviation Regulations
IPC Class III Production Certifications
  • IPC-A-610G Class 3 – Acceptability of Electronic Certifications
  • IP/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 – Acceptability of Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
  • IPC-J-STD-001 Class 3 – Acceptability of Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies
