RDDS has developed a cutting-edge, high-definition GPS-enabled Digital Video Recorder (DVR) specifically tailored for aviation applications. This versatile and intuitive recorder supports up to six simultaneous video inputs, providing robust performance for demanding environments. With a removable SSD for seamless data retrieval, the DVR also features USB and Ethernet ports, along with integrated metadata such as GPS information. These advanced features position the RDDS DVR as a leading solution in the aviation video recording market.
Schedule
The RDDS DVR is currently in the design process. Despatch of the first units is expected Q3 2027. RDDS DVR data sheet outlines expected functionality. If you have specific requirement for the DVR please relay them to RDDS to ensure the unit is compatible with your platform.
FEATURES
- The DVR allows controls for video recording: Start/Stop Recording, Play/Pause Playback, Rewind/Fast Forward Playback, Switch Playback Source, Add Marker, Next/Previous Marker, select sources to record, Reach back – At least three minutes on single source
- Removable SSD: Storage > 500hours for 1080p video recording. (This DVR memory can be extended if required.)
- Able to record 2 x audio streams
- Able to record > 2 simultaneous video streams.
- The recorder stores Metadata with video of: KLV MISB/STANAG-4609, and GPS Data (KML/GPX)
- The recorder shall be controlled on a preview screen with a touch interface and a scroll wheel for choosing different sources.
- The On-Screen Display (OSD) for any menus shall be configurable i.e., font type, size, colour, and background colour.
- Qualified Core Unit offers highly efficient bespoke development.
- NVG compatible
