As a UK-based defence technology company, we recognise the invaluable contribution made by serving personnel, veterans, reservists and military families. Receiving the Bronze Award reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where members of the Armed Forces community are valued, supported and given the opportunity to thrive.

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise that those who serve, or have served, in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated fairly and should not be disadvantaged because of their service.

By signing the Covenant, organisations demonstrate their commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community through fair employment practices, fostering understanding within the workplace and recognising the unique skills and experiences that military personnel bring to civilian careers.

What Does the Bronze Employer Recognition Scheme Award Mean?

The Bronze Award is the first level of the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme and recognises organisations that have formally pledged their support to the Armed Forces Covenant.

To achieve the award, RDDS has:

• Signed the Armed Forces Covenant.
• Demonstrated our understanding of the Covenant and the Employer Recognition Scheme.
• Communicated our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community across our workforce.

Beyond these commitments, we continue to explore ways to strengthen our support for veterans, reservists and military families through our recruitment practices, workplace policies and company culture.

Why This Matters to RDDS

For more than 33 years, RDDS has supported defence and aerospace programmes by designing and manufacturing rugged display systems, video management solutions, mission computing and control hardware for some of the world’s most demanding environments.

The values demonstrated by members of the Armed Forces—professionalism, resilience, teamwork and dedication—align closely with the way we work every day.
